A Landmark Moment for Crescent Archers
We are humbled and honoured to have been named Community Pioneers of the Year at the British Muslim Awards 2025.
This award is a reflection of our ongoing mission: to make archery accessible, inclusive, and meaningful for everyone, regardless of age, background, or ability.
“It was an absolute honour to have won the British Muslim Award 2025. We were not expecting this, therefore a huge thank you to all of you who nominated us.”

What the Award Represents
The Community Pioneers of the Year award is about more than sport. It acknowledges organisations that drive positive change, community development, and social inclusion.
At Crescent Archers, we:
- Provide female-only sessions to empower women and girls in a safe, supportive environment.
- Run beginner courses and weekly sessions to make archery accessible to people of all ages and abilities.
- Partner with schools, mosques, and community groups to expand access to archery across Birmingham and beyond.
- Champion archery as both a sport and a Sunnah, linking tradition with personal growth and modern community life.
Thank You to Our Community
This award belongs to every coach, volunteer, partner, and member who has contributed to our journey. Your dedication and support are what make Crescent Archers more than just an archery club — we are a movement for positive change.
We are also grateful to the British Muslim Awards for shining a light on the importance of sport in building stronger, more inclusive communities.
Looking Ahead
Winning the Community Pioneers of the Year award inspires us to keep pushing forward. With every arrow shot, every new member welcomed, and every barrier broken, we aim to:
- Expand opportunities for underrepresented groups in sport.
- Strengthen partnerships with schools, community organisations, and youth programmes.
- Continue being a proud ambassador for inclusivity, empowerment, and tradition in archery.
