Crescent Archers are proud to have hosted the first-ever Thumb Draw competition in the UK – a groundbreaking event that brought together archers from across the country, with participants travelling from as far as Scotland.

With 35 talented archers showcasing their skills, the event was a resounding success, demonstrating not only the growing interest in traditional and historical archery techniques but also the strength of the archery community nationwide.

The Thumb Draw, a technique with deep roots in Asian and Middle Eastern traditions, was celebrated and recognised at the event. Its inclusion marks a significant step in broadening the scope of archery in the UK and promoting diversity within the sport.
